When I first saw Fortune Town Mall I was underwhelmed. But in subsequent visits I’ve learned a lot more about it.

Fortune Town contains an IT Mall on the third and fourth floors. Like dreampipe, I find that you can get all of your IT needs met here in a more positive environment than the better known Pantip Plaza. I recently needed a specific item for my laptop, and while I was looking for it I walked into a standard sized shop that was filled with adapters and cords… it was the specialty of the shop.

When I was looking for two power converters so I could plug my 110 v equipment from the US into the 220v Thai power supply I found a shop that sold them at 200 baht (about $6) each.

In addition to the IT Mall, which is the primary focus of Fortune Town Mall, there is a good sized Tesco-Lotus for groceries and general household supplies and appliances.

It is also well-known in the area for it’s food court; a large area with a wide selection of Thai and Chinese dishes served hot, fresh and cheap.

The train access couldn’t be better, and if you’re driving there’s plenty of parking.

The position on the corner of Ratchadapisek Road and Rama 9 Road (not far from Petchaburi Road)makes it easily accessible from many parts of the city.

There is even a large hotel attached to the complex if you want to make this your base of operations while in Bangkok.

While it’s not exactly part of Fortune Town Mall, Ratchada Soi 3 runs beside the Mall on the North side. Just 50 to 100 meters from Tesco-Lotus you can find a wide array of delicious street food at very low prices.

This street in Ratchada is particularly well-known for it’s Khao Man Gai (Chicken & Rice with chili sauce) available from several vendors, and Moo Yang (grilled pork) which is also sold in several locations.

My favorite vendor, located next to 7-11 at the corner of Soi 3 and Soi Yoo-Charoen sells Moo Yang, Som Tam and 99-baht pitchers of beer in a shaded outdoor shop for your refreshment on hot Bangkok afternoons.

This is a large shopping mall on Ratchadapisek
There is loads of parking available and its near to the underground. However I found it to be a limited place you can get a lot of hi tech equipment here from projectors to laptops but it just struck me as run of the mill macdonalds burger king and a pizza hut type of place

Bangkok is famous for huge malls but for electronics people seems to always go to Pantip plaza but I think fortune town is a better bet for various reasons.

    1. A better food court
    2. lots of parking
    3. its right on top of an MRT stop
    4. the vendors seem more legit - less hustle
    5. my after sales service has been better here

I think the prices are comparable to pantip so when u factor in the ease of getting there and the cleaner less patpong like environment I think fortune town is a better bet for electronics shopping.

Simply incredible! Great food and decent value for money too. The manager bought a dish with chicken on the bone when we had ordered off the bone. When we said we didn't want it he offered us another dish a didn't charge us for the first one - which was still left on the table for us to pick at! The portion sizes were very generous and flavour was first class. The indo-chinese chilli chicken was sensational as was the butter chicken - 2 dishes could have fed 4 people really. Naan and rice also enough to hsare with 3-4 people. whole meal for 2 around 700 baht which considering the quantity and quality was great. highly recommended!!

We are honeymoon couple, we found this place not too far from our hotel. As we seated in the outside table overlooking the beautiful romantic garden, and they proceed, this has got to have the worst service I have ever experienced. We love trying new Thai food places and I always try to find the good in every place but I could not find the good here except for maybe a nice location. The service was unbelievably bad/rude. By bad I mean slow to serve our order, rude staff and dirty tables. Then once you survive the service, you have to survive the food! It was awful. Everything must be bad because we waited too long for the food. I can guarantee you that customer service is a low priority. With many choices for Fine Dinning in Bangkok, this is not a place you need to go.

I had one of the best dining experiences of my life at this plush, almost over-the-top restaurant at the top of the Landmark Hotel. The quality of the steaks, the diversity of the menu, the unrelentingly devotion to service, the knowledgeable barmen, and...finally, most importantly the quality of the food. Do not come here for avant-garde gourmet experiments that seem in vogue everywhere now. DO come here for the old fashioned devotion to good beef in most of its forms and the usual accompaniments done perfectly. This is truly a version of the top steakhouses I used to visit in the 60s in places like Kansas City, Chicago, New York, and Dallas, where customers were treated like royalty, beef was an artform, and where the start almost always included a perfect martini or a manhattan. Top menu features include angus grass fed prime beef, wagyu beef, the freshest oysters I have ever tasted, and foix gras so rich and delicious that you forget how sinful it is. The RR&B have the most gracious serving staff in Bangkok. You will be charmed by the spectacular view as well. Top dollar here but not so excessive as to exceed your sense of worth. You will leave well satisfied on all counts.

Attentive staff, convenient location close to nightlife and MRT/BTS make this a good choice for me. The Internet connection this time around (unlike the last time) has been just fine. Breakfast is a bit lackluster, but serviceable. I do get the impression that the interior is showing a bit of wear and tear, but not an "ewww" factor. I don't need the pool as I don't want to be mistaken for a misplaced Seaworld attraction so no comments there. All-in-all, I would definitely stay there again. Call it 3-1/2 stars.

A group of seven of us decided to try the Sunday Brunch. BHT 1000 got us five hours of unlimited food and drinks - including, beer, wine, spirits and cocktails. Food included steak, pizza, vegetables, sausages, chicken, kebabs, salad - even bacon and eggs. The staff were great - and the food and drinks were excellent.

This is a traditional Pub right in the heart of the busy soi cowboy area. If you really appreciate getting out of the hustle and bustle and enjoy some great food and at good price. This is the place. Very quiet. Can make some expat friends in here. Great English breakfast.

I have been here on two occasions and my family and I have not been that impressed with the Pizza or the pasta dishes. I would say they are average, the wine selection is nice and the salads are good, but the hot food is more production quality than tastefully done. Luigi's around the corner is outstanding.

After reading the reviews on this website I was really looking forward to experiencing this restaurant. Went with a friend of mine from out of town. In short, we really liked this place. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. We crossed over Sukhumvit and headed over to Soi 3/1. My friend had never been down this Soi. As Soi's go this is a nice Soi and worth a stroll just to see. It has stamped concrete to walk and is kept fairly clean compared to other Sois. After a couple of invites from other restaurants to join them we made it to Shahrazad. While many other restaurants had plenty of seating from what we could see, Shahrazad was full. I took this as a good sign. There were two of us and the only table left was one of the big 5-6 person tables in the back corner. The owner sat us down at this table. For me this elevated the place immediately. I don't know how many times I've been to other restaurants in BKK where a similar situation we would have been asked to wait for a smaller table so they could save the bigger table, presumably for a bigger party. Our meal was pretty basic. We ordered a hummus/salad/babaganush sampler, mixed grill (chicken/lamb), lamb chops, and 3 garlic Nan. It was all good. Hummus and other items on the sampler were awesome, the chicken was very tasty and moist. The lamb chops were very flavorful. And the garlic Nan is the way to go. There was enough food as 1 piece of Nan was left along with a small schemer of the hummus. The total bill for the food and the water we drank was 610 baht. In my opinion well worth the price. I will be coming back here soon.

Not the cheapest italian in town, but tasty food! We went there about 4 in the morning and took the spaghetti with the crab, lovely stuff. The shared tiramisu was so delicious that we took an other one later. The service was very friendly. I'll go there again, after a diconight.
