One of the great things about big cities like Bangkok is the ability to eat almost any type of cuisine on the planet. Last night I wanted something new and thought I would shoot down soi ruam rudi looking for somewhere I have never eaten.

There is a lot of food on this soi but some of the more expensive or fancier variety but walking by Bali I figured this would work. Having lived in Hong Kong I used to eat Indonesian food a lot. However many times in HK the restaurants tend to mix indo/thai/chinese/philip food all together. Bali is only Indonesian food, drinks and desserts.

I shared 4 dishes with a friend and we were stuffed. The food is quite good and the portions are decent sized. So for about 600 baht we were more than full and everything was tasty and very distinct.

I was too full for desserts but I will be back. The place is like a small house with Indonesian decorations. Nothing to fancy but fine for dinner.

There is no service charge and the service was basic but fine for a meal.

Cool spot. I suggest the tofu dishes for something different and the sweet chili eggs were amazing.

Overall Rating: 4
