Movie Mey:
It's amazing that these movies make so much money. Just a bunch of pretty but miserable people running about. This one is probably the best one so far, but that isn't saying much. It's probably worth seeing at the IMAX though. I saw it at the Century so not too exciting.

For 3 to 5 hundred dollars you can get a good quality custom made suit in Bangkok. The keys to success are:
1. Know what you want and be able to explain it to the person you are ordering from. Sounds simple, but many people get all excited when they walk in a shop and a week later are disappointed because the suit isn’t really what they wanted. The tailor probably could have fulfilled their request, but your wishes were never properly communicated.
2. Ensure the company you are working with is legitimate. They should stand by their work, and make as many adjustments as necessary until you are satisfied.
3. Know what you want. I know I said this already, but you have to know what you want when it comes to every detail here.
My personal recommendations for value –
Bangkok – Tailor Pro – I can’t say enough about the owner,Sam who overseas all of the cutting in his shop, is Zegna certified, Italian educated, and has family in the business working in Rome.

I "discovered" this restaurant back in February (2010). I actually dismissed it at first as I assumed that any place advertising cal-mex food would be too bland for my taste. I like the spicier style of Mexican. But I did notice that the place was located very conveniently, about a 30 second walk from the base of the steps at Asok BTS station.
Then I found out that one of the owners was previously if not still an owner of Great American Rib Company (GARC), a place I had enjoyed in the past. That tipped the scale, so one day while near Asok, I stopped in and had ribs.
As expected, they were very good, albeit a different style of sauce than GARC. I can't say which is better, I think it would depend on the day of the week or what flavor of beer I had before eating them that would make the difference.
I was very impressed with the facility. Quaint and pleasant surroundings with a variety of options (outside, inside, bar, air-con, upstairs, street-side, etc.). Nicely done. So I knew I would be coming back.
So the next time I went, I gave the Mexican food a try. As I had feared, it was far too pedestrian for my palate. I asked for hot sauce or peppers, but only got the standard US fare of tabasco-styled sauces: not what I was looking for. The food did not lack quality, just that flavorful kick that I appreciate so much. But still, with the service and friendliness of the wait staff, the overall experience was good.
It was on my third visit that I found the secret. I was at the bar enjoying drinks, and I spoke to a waiter about the "heat factor." He told me about the sauces- the same as I had been given before- but this time I pressed the issue. I described the peppers that I have seen used in my favorite Mexican food, and he knew them immediately. He said that the cooks keep them for their own use. THAT WOKE UP THIS FOOD. He brought them out finely chopped in a small bowl, and I added to my own satisfaction. Now this is how it should be.
Since, I have been a regular customer at Los Cabos. But it is more than just the food, drinks, facility and wait staff. When the afternoon/evening crowd arrives, the place is just fun- it has character. The layout of the bar is such that it promotes easy socialization. A good place to meet friends and make new ones. The only downside here is that it would be nice if the bar area was even bigger.
Conclusion: Highly Recommended.
Rating: 4.5 (see below)
Suggestions:
-Offer a variety of spice condiments and publish this information on the menu. There are just too many in Bangkok that like spicy food to ignore them. (Gee, I wonder why ?)
-At the bar, offer a complimentary or VERY inexpensive finger-food like nuts or chips and salsa so customers can enjoy more margaritas.

I've been here many times as the food is excellent. I like the outside picnic tables when the weather is nice. Very nice atmosphere.
My problem is with the service..the waitresses are daydreaming most of the time. I literally went to the bar myself for more drinks as they just weren't paying attention.

I have walked past here 1000 times and finally decided to stop in. Very crowded and busy. The pizza-making guys were flat out. Service was quick and they kept my beer coming. Pizza was very good and I enjoyed the whole experience.

I had been there last week in Hot Curry with my friends group during my visit to Bangkok. We had ordered Dal Makhni and Paranthas with curd in breakfast. The food was so delectable and tasty.I went eating 7 paranthas myself.Dal Makhni was so tasty that I did not even eat such good Dal makhni back in India also.
Hospitality was excellant and service was so wonderful.I didn't imagine that we could ever get such a good indian food and wonderful hospitality in Bangkok.
Must visit to this place by every Indian food lovers.

I always went early in the morning and found WOW to be uncrowded. I hate when the customers sit on a machine and rest or talk on a telephone. I found the staff, other than the salespeople to be very freindly. But I never asked for anything special and other than checking in had nothing to do with them.
I just checked in, changed, and went from machine to machine. It's very clean.
I don't know what a Diamond Dual Membership is but I paid 8000 for 4 months, because I had to leave BKK for 5 months. I should have taken the year I guess. I guess I could have gotten and year for 8000. Next time I'll be tough.
But I think I got my moneys worth any way. I got some good workouts in. If anyone has pointers about the membership, please enlighten me, because I'd like to join with the option of going to use the Pattaya WOW as well.

I went to the Pro Bridal Wedding Dress with my mum, and they were absolutely lovely, after a talk with the lady there, we were shown dresses which she felt would look best for me, and did she get this right, each one was just getting better and better. I liked them all and members of staff were very helpful in helping me and my mum choose. Each time I came out of the changing room my mum was in tears! I was treated like a princess. I know that I have found my dream dress. I will be getting everything from here, it was a joy and can't wait to go back and choose my bridesmaid dresses and for the fitting of my beautiful dress.

I have been eager to try this place since I read the review by Stevied on this site from back in Novemeber. He mentions that the salsas are hot, and that's the way I like it. Well, finally today I did try it, and I'm sorry I waited so long.
Move over, Bangkok, there is actually real Mexican food here! I went with a friend today, and between the two of us, we shared soft and crispy tacos, burritos, a quesadilla and quacamole and chips with salsa. None disappointed. I personally did not think that the salsas were overly hot; they will only offend the most delicate of palates. As for me, I am insane about heat. And the wait staff was more than happy to adjust the heat to my tastes WITH FRESH INGREDIENTS. Simply delicious. Reasonable prices, too.
The atmosphere? Well, it is not so flashy, kinda quaint actually. Our waitress was engaging .. well more than that, she was a lot of fun.
Of course, not all is perfect. Today, the margaritas were on special, so they got by with it, but the normal price for beer and booze is too high. When I go for a relaxing meal, I want to sit back and enjoy it with a drink or four. It is hard to enjoy at 100+ baht for a 330 ml beer or 160 baht for a margarita. They should at least have a daily happy hour. (The margaritas are pretty darn good, though!)
This food is perhaps the best Mexican in Bangkok. Best I have had, by far. So on that strength, it should rate a 5-star. But the expensive drinks and lack of a DAILY HAPPY HOUR do detract from the potential enjoyment factor.
I rate this restaurant a 4-star.
I have a different view.
I’m one of the people that frequents Sunrise Tacos. Many others like the food as well as many times I have to wait to sit down because all the seats are full. I have the same problem getting a seat at the Soi 12 branch and Paragon branches. If it was as bad as you say I would never have this wait.
I never have had a bad meal there and my numerous friends feel the same. Just wanted to chime in that is why Sunrise Tacos always seems to be the busiest of the Mexicanj places. I’ve been to all of them and they all are different styles. Nobody beats Sunrise Tacos on price, the wide variety of free salsas they offer and portions. Taste is up to the individual but for my money, its right up there with the best. I’m from Texas so I should know.
Oh another thing, love watching them make the fresh tortillas and the free salsa bar at Soi 12. Its a nice touch. The 24 hour delivery also is a good thing they got going.

I usually went to Emporium for my Mexican food and tried this one because my wife suggested it. It was pretty poor compared to Emporium with smaller portions and not even close to being as tasty.
So I went back to Emporium today to get my fix and it was awful. What used to be a 169 Baht, stuff your face with three tacos is now staffed by totally useless staff who screw up the order and serve food that is some of the worst I’ve had in a restaurant.
I loved the old place. Great food, great prices and I ate there often but since the face lift in Emporium it’s now sucks big time.
I ordered the USA beef tacos with shredded beef and my two friends ordered something different.
First, my friends’ meals arrived. The first looked flat and bereft of filling and the second meal came with silver foil inside which my friend had to pick out.
When mine arrived I noticed it was piled with salad and no meat to be seen without careful digging about and then it was some slushy minced meat and not shredded beef.
On top of that, they brought another meal.. a stuffed burrito which we didn’t order but they argued we had.
In fact, we’d told the staff we wanted soft flower tacos and not crispy ones and to them, this had sounded like ” please add a large stuffed burrito to our order please because three people want four meals “.
We’re generous guys and rather than argue with this poor waitress, we told her to leave it on the table.
My first bite into my soft taco was all veggies with the slightest amount of cheese. Second bite similar although something mushy was included and that turned out to be the “shredded” beef.
The meat was a poor, runny mince with no flavour and was pretty horrible.
I then asked the waitress to bag the burrito for taking home and this time it was a different surly, rude waitress who made some off the cuff comment and wandered off.
When the bill came I ended up forking out 560 Baht for my two “meals” and a diet coke.
My two friends paid about 260 each for a meal they described as very poor.
We left very p*s*ed off for having been ripped off with expensive, poor food served by useless staff.
What normally cost 169 Baht is now 219 Baht. An increase close to 30% !! with a 100% drop in quality.
I’ll never go back and neither will my friends. I rate this as a one star, but it’s not good enough for that.
Give this and the other Sunrise tacos a miss and try Subway by the same owner, but even that is cutting back on the fillings !!
Please leave the ripping off of tourists to the Thais. We expect that, but not from an non-Thai.
Poor show all round.
