Delicious food and good wine that is difficult to obtain here in Bangkok. A wonderful atmosphere too. Like most good restaurants it's not cheap - but it is certainly reasonable.
Big Pizza, Scoozi and Pizza Mania are fine for delivery, but although it costs a little more, dining leisurely at L'opera is an altogether different experience in a venue with a true history of Italian cuisine.

I have to agree with the last review, this place is awesome.

They have a full on restaurant on one side, but you can also eat in the bar area which is next door. Im yet to sit in the actual restaurant, so cannot comment.

I had Lamb Meatballs to start with, then a spicy meat pizza for main, which is served with complimentary breads and dipping sauces. I also tried the seafood pasta and minestrone soup, all of which were brilliant. The portions were generous too and the service was awesome.

Im not into desserts at all, but the rest of the party ordered a variety of them, and they were heavenly. The warm chocolate sponge was the best by far

They have an Italian guy running the bar area, and Italian chefs too, which all adds the the authenticity.

Will be back here for sure

Overall Rating: 5

This has to be my favorite Italian Restaurant.

I've been here 4 or 5 times and is always my 1st choice.

I prefer to dine in the Wine Bar which is next to the main restaurant. There is a real good atmosphere in there. The staff are very friendly and always remember you.

The food is excellent... whether you want a nice quiet meal or order a load of pizzas with your pals, this place is perfect for all.

I can't talk highly enough about the food. The WineBar has a scaled down menu from the Restaurant, but they will always accommodate your needs if what you want is not on the menu.

Try not to fill yourself up too much though... because the best part of the evening is the Dessert!

I think prices may be a little high when ordering the food, but once you've eaten, you'll soon change your mind.

When leaving... the Chef even pops his head out to say goodbye.. a nice touch.

Overall Rating: 5
