This film is a let down. I should of realized it with the star being Angelina Jolie. She plays the usual secret agent kick ass character that you know is going to win every fight and save the day without breaking a nail. An easy watch, but there are much better films around at the moment. Wait for it to come out on DVD and save the cinema experience for a cool film.

Totally amazing. One of those films that doesn't make a lot of sense until you're half way through.. then you spend time thinking back to the earlier part of the film to piece it together. Most things with DiCaprio in are bound to be good. Amazing effects, but then these days, we come to expect it. Whoever had the idea of this movie has one active imagination. See it at the cinema, or buy a really big TV. Pay attention, or you'll be wanting to see it a second time.

The film misses out a good 89% of what makes up the amazing Nickelodeon series and misrepresents the other 11%. I feel that no one in this movie bothered to watch a single episode. The best thing about this movie is the sets and costume design but maybe that's because I was too busy wishing the characters weren't there. My recommendation would be not to waste your money on this abysmal movie or any sequels (please no!) but purchase the original box sets instead, they are a much better investment.

Saw Avatar here. The film was so long that they had to switch to another camera about 2 hours in. The switch was not so graceful. We sat in the dark for about 5 minutes and then the rest of the movie played. Unfortunately, it took about 15 minutes to get the audio right. It was choppy and poor quality. Very poor job and it almost ruined the movie. I couldn't believe they had to switch in the first place. They must have some old equipment. When it's working though, the video and audio are fine.

Finally saw a movie here - nothing really special here but theatre number 1 - which is pretty much normal pricing is a nice spot with big leather seats and lots of spacing. Almost like a higher class seat but normal pricing. Easy walk from the BTS so this place an option at times.

Every city needs a place to see independent films. The lido is one of the last places in BKK to see them. The place is not amazing and could use a facelift but I dont mind it at all. I like the ticket counter being in one spot, the snacks in another and the theaters all spread out. The seats are not great, the sound is okay and the projection is old skool but I like the vibe. You go here because the scene is cool and they are the only place to play some movies. The shops and cafes around the floor are pretty cool as well. Worth checking out for the indie films and the funky siam sq vibe

I only use this cinema as its walking distance from where I live, else I would not come here that often. The popcorn and drinks are overpriced compared to SFX Cinemas, and I dont think the sound systems are that good compared to others. I opten for 170baht tickets, as opposed to the 120baht ones and couldn't tell the difference Emporium cinema which is 2 stops down the BTS line is a far better bet IMHO

This theater has certainly seen better days but I'm a big fan of older movie theaters that have seen better days, especially for matinees. The negatives are that the place has a musky and damp feel, and if it was crowded the seating would be way too cramp. The positives are that the theater is HUGE. Actually, a better word is GRAND. There are two levels of seating. Towards the front it's almost level so you may have problems if someone with big hair sits in front of you. Those seats are 100 baht. They also have a rising level towards the back and the seats are 120 baht. Extremely cheap. They have these two 60+ attendants that look like they've been there since before movies were in color. They are definitely old school. They take your ticket and seat you with a very dim flashlight. I banged my knee once and tripped over a rail on the way to my seat. It must have been hilarious to watch for the folks already in the theater. The screen is also huge and the sound system is okay. The aircon was also not as frigid as most theaters so it made for an enjoyable experience, especially given the prices. One thing that was funny was when I bought the ticket the lady asked me where I wanted to sit. Most theaters have the little computer program where you tick the screen to pick your seat. Here, they have a big piece of paper and a pen. I will return for matinees but given the location and pricing I can imagine it gets crowded at night which would make for a less comfortable experience.

First time I have seen a movie here. We wanted the VIP theatre but we would not to wait too long so we went for VIP seat in theatre number 4 - I think this is the biggest one they have. It was awesome. Huge seat, massive screen and awesome sound. It also was not that cold - maybe the room is too big? I would be happy hear with normal seats since the place is huge and the seating layout is cool. The mento combo was a deal as well. Overall a great experience.

Went for a late movie the other night. This was the spot I was meeting someone so this was the place for the movie. Of course I went to the entrance and missed ticket booth - so that was a pain. Then I mis read the board and picked a movie with the VIP Opera seating. Not cheap at 500 baht but awesome seating, pillows, blankets, free drinks and reclining electric seats. Wow. The theatre was not super cold and the sound system was great. No complaints but It think the ticket counter layout separate from the entrance must confuse a hoarde of people. All in all good stuff!
