Robert James:
Simply incredible! Great food and decent value for money too. The manager bought a dish with chicken on the bone when we had ordered off the bone. When we said we didn't want it he offered us another dish a didn't charge us for the first one - which was still left on the table for us to pick at! The portion sizes were very generous and flavour was first class. The indo-chinese chilli chicken was sensational as was the butter chicken - 2 dishes could have fed 4 people really. Naan and rice also enough to hsare with 3-4 people. whole meal for 2 around 700 baht which considering the quantity and quality was great. highly recommended!!

MahaNaga Thai Restaurant & Bar is very great place for us.We will recommend to our family and friends

We are honeymoon couple, we found this place not too far from our hotel. As we seated in the outside table overlooking the beautiful romantic garden, and they proceed, this has got to have the worst service I have ever experienced. We love trying new Thai food places and I always try to find the good in every place but I could not find the good here except for maybe a nice location. The service was unbelievably bad/rude. By bad I mean slow to serve our order, rude staff and dirty tables. Then once you survive the service, you have to survive the food! It was awful. Everything must be bad because we waited too long for the food. I can guarantee you that customer service is a low priority. With many choices for Fine Dinning in Bangkok, this is not a place you need to go.

I had one of the best dining experiences of my life at this plush, almost over-the-top restaurant at the top of the Landmark Hotel. The quality of the steaks, the diversity of the menu, the unrelentingly devotion to service, the knowledgeable barmen, and...finally, most importantly the quality of the food. Do not come here for avant-garde gourmet experiments that seem in vogue everywhere now. DO come here for the old fashioned devotion to good beef in most of its forms and the usual accompaniments done perfectly. This is truly a version of the top steakhouses I used to visit in the 60s in places like Kansas City, Chicago, New York, and Dallas, where customers were treated like royalty, beef was an artform, and where the start almost always included a perfect martini or a manhattan. Top menu features include angus grass fed prime beef, wagyu beef, the freshest oysters I have ever tasted, and foix gras so rich and delicious that you forget how sinful it is. The RR&B have the most gracious serving staff in Bangkok. You will be charmed by the spectacular view as well. Top dollar here but not so excessive as to exceed your sense of worth. You will leave well satisfied on all counts.
Bigfoot:
Attentive staff, convenient location close to nightlife and MRT/BTS make this a good choice for me.
The Internet connection this time around (unlike the last time) has been just fine.
Breakfast is a bit lackluster, but serviceable.
I do get the impression that the interior is showing a bit of wear and tear, but not an "ewww" factor.
I don't need the pool as I don't want to be mistaken for a misplaced Seaworld attraction so no comments there.
All-in-all, I would definitely stay there again.
Call it 3-1/2 stars.

A group of seven of us decided to try the Sunday Brunch. BHT 1000 got us five hours of unlimited food and drinks - including, beer, wine, spirits and cocktails. Food included steak, pizza, vegetables, sausages, chicken, kebabs, salad - even bacon and eggs.
The staff were great - and the food and drinks were excellent.

This is a traditional Pub right in the heart of the busy soi cowboy area. If you really appreciate getting out of the hustle and bustle and enjoy some great food and at good price. This is the place. Very quiet. Can make some expat friends in here. Great English breakfast.

I have been here on two occasions and my family and I have not been that impressed with the Pizza or the pasta dishes. I would say they are average, the wine selection is nice and the salads are good, but the hot food is more production quality than tastefully done.
Luigi's around the corner is outstanding.

After reading the reviews on this website I was really looking forward to experiencing this restaurant. Went with a friend of mine from out of town. In short, we really liked this place. Food was excellent and reasonably priced.
We crossed over Sukhumvit and headed over to Soi 3/1. My friend had never been down this Soi. As Soi's go this is a nice Soi and worth a stroll just to see. It has stamped concrete to walk and is kept fairly clean compared to other Sois.
After a couple of invites from other restaurants to join them we made it to Shahrazad. While many other restaurants had plenty of seating from what we could see, Shahrazad was full. I took this as a good sign. There were two of us and the only table left was one of the big 5-6 person tables in the back corner. The owner sat us down at this table. For me this elevated the place immediately. I don't know how many times I've been to other restaurants in BKK where a similar situation we would have been asked to wait for a smaller table so they could save the bigger table, presumably for a bigger party.
Our meal was pretty basic. We ordered a hummus/salad/babaganush sampler, mixed grill (chicken/lamb), lamb chops, and 3 garlic Nan. It was all good. Hummus and other items on the sampler were awesome, the chicken was very tasty and moist. The lamb chops were very flavorful. And the garlic Nan is the way to go.
There was enough food as 1 piece of Nan was left along with a small schemer of the hummus. The total bill for the food and the water we drank was 610 baht. In my opinion well worth the price. I will be coming back here soon.

Not the cheapest italian in town, but tasty food!
We went there about 4 in the morning and took the spaghetti with the crab, lovely stuff.
The shared tiramisu was so delicious that we took an other one later.
The service was very friendly.
I'll go there again, after a diconight.
This place has dropped slightly in my estimation on 2 counts-both reflect my old and grouchy nature but that’s me! First would be the homebrew pints are consistently served way short of a full glass. Understand this is how the staff are instructed to serve but given you are being charged 160 Baht, why not charge 180 or 200 and give the customer the product as advertised. Avoiding wastage is one thing but serving the customer short is not on for. My second gripe would be allowing kids in the evening. Doesn’t sit right with me to have 9/10 year old kids running around or messing about on the pool table at 9 on Saturday night in a boozer, when the grown ups want to watch a match in peace. Understand this is acceptable in Thailand but personally I don’t like it a pub.
Shame as this is otherwise a great place.

Been in a few times although I don’t know why, usually meeting someone for one pint then out ! Way too expensive and slow service if you’re not a regular.

This place is crap
Ordered 2 pints and it saw me for 400 odd baht with the tax etc. thats almost 10pounds.
Quite a white collar crowd here, and the place has zero charm or vibe. Didnt hang around long enough to order food but looked at the menu and it seemed over priced. No natural light here either which is weird.
Wont return

Saw Liverpool vs Man U in here, atmosphere was fantastic, well over half of the crowd were Thai. Home brewed bitter is as good as anything you get in BKK, but is pricey. Perhaps best tackled in happy hour or promo night. Food too falls into the pricey but quality bracket. Excellent place to watch sport, socialise or just kick-back with a beer, book or The Times is your missing home! Staff are excellent in here, over 4 visits, no matter how busy was always served promptly.

Only visited once but will still give my two cents.
It lacks the charm of some of the other basement bars in the lower Sukhumvit region. Beers and food seemed pricey for what was offered.
I didn’t try the home-brewed beers, which might be the reason why I would return.

I don’t like this place. It is what is is. A London pub in the heart of Bangkok. Noisy, dark, smokey and I just don’t get the place!
Maybe okay for a rowdy boys night out on the beer watching footy?

Unless things have changed since the introduction of the smoking ban, this is a smoky, poorly ventilated basement pub with a crap sound system and overpriced food and drinks.
It’s big and it can get crowded so plenty of people like it, but not me.
I’ve been there a few times when friends have insisted that it’s where they want to go, but I always try to discourage the idea. I don’t like this place at all.
Even when it’s empty of people it reeks of stale cigarette smoke and spilled beer. Given it’s cavernous size it’s hard to explain how it can feel dark and claustrophobic, but it does. With the bright, airy and smoke-free Coyote Restaurant just a few steps away and Mojos, featuring pool tables and good quality live music, just 50 meters down the street I can’t imagine why anyone would venture into this smelly overpriced basement.

Big underground (as in below the floor rather illegal) which brews its own beer. They have two flavours of home grown beer. A pilsner (larger to me) which tastes v.nice but makes me feel fat and bloated and a a bitter called Londoner’s Pride which is passable. The food is expensive but usually ok and on Wednesday they have a buy one get one free promotion so the place is rammed. Big, roomy, has one of those big rectangular bars.
