I worked in Bangkok last year and visited it virtually every day, and had Christmas dinner there as well. Great staff, service is great and a real home from home. The bands they have are very good and don't drown out your conversation, if you haven't been yet, make sure you do sooner rather than later.<ul><li><label>Overall Rating</label>: 4   <img STYLE="border:none" SRC="http://www.durianseed.com/wp-content/images/stars40disp.gif"></li> </ul> What can I say about this pub that hasn’t been said already, apart from it’s all true. Spacious open feeling to the whole bar which subconciously makes you feel at ease. There are plenty of places in Bangkok where you can 'Go Frantic' if you want to. But when you tire of that and want to chill out, have a good beer, enjoy some conversation and some great food, then there is no better place than the Duke. Gotta say i loved the place. Quality decor thats not trying 'too hard' to be english style, good cheap pints with a proper head on it and a cool vibe. Laid back atmosphere aswell which is cool, and the guy behind the bar knew his football which was a good touch.
