This being my first visa run (for a double entry tourist visa), after ample research, careful review of sites and information, and collecting the opinions of experiences from other farang, I narrowed the visa run services down to two companies, then chose "Quick Thai Visa Run - Express Visas" as the one. The primary guy who runs the operation replied to my email right away with answers to my initial questions, had me call him with any other questions and then I stopped by the office a couple days in advance to give him the money, copy of my passport, and 3 photos ... they take care of rest and you just show up about an hour early to sign some papers when the scheduled bus is leaving. This visa run went to Vientiane, Laos, where we were for only half a day, one night, and half another day, so not quite 24 hours. Vientiane is a nice city and has a little market along the riverside with restaurants and shops. The visa run coordinator and her assistant, who went with us, were very good and kept things moving right along. The two bus rides are about 8 - 9 hours with stops on average every 2 - 2.5 hours for food and bathroom breaks (7-11, Chesters, A&W, KFC, etc.). Also, on the way back, they drop passengers off near their homes as close as practical. This was a good experience for a visa run given the legal obligation we're under as foreigners, the requirements to travel out, then back into Thailand and the long bus rides.

Kinda hard to review a BTS station. All BTS stations are carbon copies virtually, but the one thing I love about Nana station, is not only the womans computerised voice 'Next sation NAAAAANAAAAA, but if you pass through it from around 5-6pm, you will spot the hordes of poorly dressed sex-tourists, burly ladyboys and Thai/Russian hookers using the station to get too and from their respective houses of ill repute. Great for people watching.
