I went to the Pro Bridal Wedding Dress with my mum, and they were absolutely lovely, after a talk with the lady there, we were shown dresses which she felt would look best for me, and did she get this right, each one was just getting better and better. I liked them all and members of staff were very helpful in helping me and my mum choose. Each time I came out of the changing room my mum was in tears! I was treated like a princess. I know that I have found my dream dress. I will be getting everything from here, it was a joy and can't wait to go back and choose my bridesmaid dresses and for the fitting of my beautiful dress.

Out of many Bangkok tailors, you will find the legendary Savilerow in a chic hotel or sleek mall. But don't be fooled. These digs in humble, a tailoring hub, have hosted everyone from U.S. Embassy to soccer stars, movies stars , commissioners such as the Peter Thorn, elija woods, and Michael Di Rhodes. This former uniform tailor to the Bangkok hotel staffs. These tailors also make annual trips to Europe and North America. (Schedule updates are listed on the Web site). About two months ago, I went to visit Savile Row Clothiers, the travelling Bangkok tailors who happened to be one of the few with Newyork on their itinerary. I wanted to give them a shot to see if they would be a cheaper alternative to my tailor here in New york for basic items. I made a post about it, and a few people PM'd me asking for a review of the clothes once I received them because they were also thinking of using this service. This morning I woke up to find a snow covered box on my doorstep with Savile Row Clothiers printed across the top. So here's my review: Fabric: The selection of fabrics of available through Savile Row clothiers is quite extensive in terms of swatches available, For my experiment, I decided to go with a basic black with grey pine fabric which was Super 130's, but struck me as an average quality fabric in terms of appearance, softness, etc. Normally suits start at $150, but the one I selected was $350. The fitting: I went to their store at Rose hotel where it was crammed with people looking through swatch books and waiting in line to get fitted. I decided to remove a little bit of the guesswork by bringing my favorite fitting jacket and pants, a Hugo Boss Eagle jacket. I asked the tailor to use my measurements, but recreate the fit of those items as much as possible, which is quite trim. He happily measured me and my garments and made adjustments for where he thought my garments needed to be tweaked. He even measured the proportions of the lapels to make sure they were spot on. The results: Nine months on from my first Savile Row suit, I had tried six suits from other avenues before returning. I was very happy with my first Savile Row suit. But I wanted to make sure, before becoming a life-long subscriber to the Row, that I was completely comfortable in my justification for doing so. I didn’t want to live at the apex of personal tailoring for any pretence of grandeur. I would only want to subscribe to the Row if it provided the best value for money. I decided to return to the same Savile Row tailor. I wanted to test the theory that developing a relationship with one tailor would be of increased value in all subsequent suits. I hoped that continuing with the same tailor would allow him to assess his first suit and make improvements with the second. I am delighted to report that this is exactly what happened. I was surprised at home critical the tailor was of his first suit. I had arrived with a list of points which I wanted to address. He addressed each of my six points and two more which I had not thought of and couldn’t have then understood. I was also delighted to be informed that the tailor had since updated his pattern. The meant a slightly slimmer upper arm, slimmer middle-leg and slightly longer torso. I think this a very good and reassuring sign. The quite unexpected bonus, was that after the improvements for my second suit had been agreed, the tailor offered to take my first suit away and have it altered to reflect all of the agreed improvements. I was delighted! Further to this thread, I am very pleased with my choice of suiting and lining. I think I definitely made the right choice. If anyone has any questions about the suit, a beginner’s experience of Savile Row, or of personal tailoring in general, then please drop me a line any time. I would be pleased to hear from you. Thank you. Melons

Among all the various options in Bangkok for photos, this place is in an excellent and easy location for getting any necessary photos taken and printed. They also offer many other print and photo services and products, but my experience concerned the necessary photos for visa and employment application forms. The photos were taken and printed at the correct size for the applications, which there are templates on the desk to choose from based on which country you're from and/or what your needs are. The shops gives a great deal for 6 photos (minimum) and the photos were ready for pick up in less than 15 minutes.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! When I walked into Savile Row, I immediately noticed the difference-- the dress samples they have are Red Carpet worthy and the craftsmanship is wonderful versus the run-of-the-mill dresses I saw in other shops. My husband has traveled all over Asia and had suits made for himself in multiple countries and he agrees that he has never seen anything like it. If you aren't really into high-fashion and just have some basic items you want made, you can probably go somewhere else that is a little cheaper; but if you want a complicated outfit or a precise fit, I would go to Savile Row. Look at the samples they have-- specific tailors make the different outfits and if you try to get it made by another, you might be disappointed. I had two suits, three dresses, two pairs of pants, and multiple shirts made at Savile Row and am thrilled with the way they turned out. The staff will fit and re-fit your clothing as many times as you want. We had a girl "assigned" entirely to us who walked us through every decision, every fitting, everything! (Her name was Christa and I highly recommend her). My only warning is: GO PREPARED. You ARE the designer. This is not like picking something off the rack. Know what you want made, what kind of fabric is going to work for that outfit, what colors are going to look good on you, etc. Don't make impulse buys, and don't do what I saw several older women doing, which was: looking at a 25-year-old girl and telling the assistant that they wanted exactly the clothing she was trying on made for them. "It's not going to work!" I wanted to tell them. Choose what's right for your body-- they are amazing tailors, but they can't make you look 25, or change your shape

Quite reputable in the Bangkok's tailor scene as far as i have recommendations from friends and business people. Although i have been disappointed with the outcome of my shirts, i would think it's still a decent spot to spend your money worth it. First time making shirts from them but i will never get to know if the shirts ever last long enough or not. Because the fitting was totally out, despite me bringing a best fitting shirt of my own for them to copy. now these shirts will sit in my closet till my next trip and also depending if Crown Tailor will reply my email on whether they still honor me and alter these misfit shirts. If you want to get dressed decently, here's the place. But please do tell exactly what you want and make sure they understand/discuss thoroughly with you. Don't make a slight inch mistake and result in your products unwearable, like these shirts of mine even when I paid good money.

Impeccable Service with an amazing designer who is sensitve, intuitive and empathic. I was dreading having a bespoke wedding dress made and it was a fabulous experience. The dress was not only unique and exquisite but its cost was modest. Seeing the end product I certainly would have paid a lot more.. It is not only a hidden treasure in terms of design, conceptulization, performance and end product but she is without doubt one of the nicest individuals I have come across in the business.

Well, interestingly enough, there are at least half a million tailors in Bangkok at your disposal. You can pick from any of them, but the question is how long after you leave Bangkok will that suit last! Fortunately, that wasn't an issue for me as we have been living here for the past 4 years, so we made sure we got the best tailors and made sure that even after dry cleaning the suits, it still looked new! We were well aware of scams, hefty prices that people pay, polyester suits and too good to be true deals. Thats why we highly recommend this place as the place to go. We were well dressed up at Crown's and till now, all our clothes are still fresh and being used very well everyday. Highly recommended establishment.

I have a love/hate relationship with Paragon On one hand, the place is awesome, as it is crawling with painfully hot uni/office/shop girls, theres a really good and cheap foodcourt (plus loads of highstreet restaurants) in the basement, a swanky but inexpensive cinema on the top floor, a California WOW Gym and a huge department store. On the other hand, the majority of the shops are super expensive (Prada/Rolex/Bang & Olufsen etc etc) a lot of people walking round with attitudes (despite not being able to afford anything), the place can get super crowded, its kinda hard to navigate your way around, and a lot of tourists with huge backpacks stopping in the middle of walkways with their videocameras out (dickheads) For a cheap bite to eat and an easy place to meet someone, I like Paragon, but I dont like to spend TOO much time there

I really like the vibe in this shopping centre. They have quite a good 'Central' Department store on the East side, all the big named restaurants, fast-food and branded clothes shops, and a more 'Thai' style shopping area with FoodCellar in the basement. In the evenings and weekends the ground floor is usually full of promotional stands etc so it gets really busy. Because there is a handful of Universities nearby, the place is always HEAVING with cute young girls. Really easy to get to from Pohan Yothin MRT too. There is a cool restaurant in the 3rd or 4th floor of the Central Department store called 'The Terrace' which is really funky. Its well priced, good food, offers a great view over the city, and on maybe 4 out of my 6-7 visits, have had a celeb or 2 hanging out

There are many tailors in Bangkok that can do suits for travellers within a matter of days (I once read an ad that said within 24 hours!!) That said, I would have thought 2-3 days would be better than 24 hours because at least 1 -2 fittings would be required in the case of a tailored suit in my view. I have introduced my overseas friends to my tailor: Pro Tailor. The guy at Pro Tailor speaks English. Depending on the material you choose, I would say a decent everyday suit would be in the region of $100 to $350. Pro Tailor also offers free one-year service for expanding or taking in your suit (i.e. if you put on or take off weight resulting in your suit not being well-fitted). His shirts are also pretty good.
