Radicalron:
This place rocks for late night grub after some clubbing. - Classic Thai food. Stays open late.

We were there on a Sat night. Arrived around 11, pretty empty, but by 11.30 was filling up well, packed by 12. Excellent Trance/House, mixed crowd, but 85% Thai. Smart but fun. The best way to drink in these places is to but a bottle - JW Red +mixers was 1700 baht. Will allow you to take your Whiskey home.

By far my favourite of all the California WOW gyms
You can enter the gym by a small booth on the outside of the ground floor, or by the 1st floor inside Esplanade, and is maybe a 2-3 minute walk from Thailand Cultural Centre MRT
This place is absolutely huge, and both floors have tonnes of high end kit, yet the place doesnt seem anywhere near as crowded as the other branches
Because its kinda far from where I live, I dont go that often, but if I remember correctly, the ground floor (which is tiny) is the spa, yoga & chillout areas, the 2nd floor has banks and banks of cardio, tonnes of resistance machines and the Muay Thai ring, and the 3rd floor has yet more cardio/resistance machines, a huge and spacious freeweights section plus cycling and dance studios.
I also find the trainers are more chilled out here, and the place just has a really cool vibe. If it wasn't for the distance, I'd come here every time.

Went here last night and had a great time
Cracked open a bottle of Red Label for 1200baht, but I'll be buggered if I can remember how much the mixers were. Fairly inexpensive though.
Music was pumping and the place was packed on a Sunday night. Loads of hot young girls, and the guys here don't make you feel unwelcome. The service here is really good too
This was my first trip back here in 6months, but definately wont wait that long until my next visit
The fried chicken cart at the end of RCA is awesome aswell, especially after you chuck a load of beer n whisky down your throat
Steve Green:
I really like this place, a cool setting to take a date
The food is really good, and well priced too. I've been here maybe 4 times and each time I stuffed my fat face, put away 3 jugs of beer or so and the bill hasn't topped 1000baht
This is a really cool chillout venue to grab some food and drink, then head over to the clubs at RCA afterwards.

Went for a late movie the other night. This was the spot I was meeting someone so this was the place for the movie. Of course I went to the entrance and missed ticket booth - so that was a pain. Then I mis read the board and picked a movie with the VIP Opera seating. Not cheap at 500 baht but awesome seating, pillows, blankets, free drinks and reclining electric seats. Wow.
The theatre was not super cold and the sound system was great. No complaints but It think the ticket counter layout separate from the entrance must confuse a hoarde of people.
All in all good stuff!

My recent visit to Nathong proved to be a very enjoyable one. I'd been meaning to go for quite some time now but just hadn't got round to it, so the arrival of my parents here in Bangkok on holiday gave me the perfect opportunity to try it out.
The seating area, which is set around a large central pond is all very nice, and the live music that was playing all night was set at a reasonable level so that a conversation could still take place over dinner.
I wouldn't say this restaurant is particularly 'high class' by any means (the plastic tables, chairs, and plates take care of that). Having said that, I found everything to be perfectly acceptable.
The menu is huge, there's such a good variety of food on offer, so much so that it took us all quite a while before we could narrow it down and decide what to order.
Every dish that arrived at our table was fine. Just good, well presented Thai food, in reasonable portions.
The girls serving us seemed to struggle to break a smile, so that was one small downside, although the lad who took our order and looked after our drinks was very good. He was tipped individually by us at the end, while the girls were tipped collectively with what we left in the bill wallet.
When we called the restaurant to book, we asked if it was OK to bring our own wine, this is acceptable at this restaurant and no corkage is charged. This is a big plus for this restaurant, although I did notice that the wine on the menu was actually very reasonably priced anyway.
Our final bill for 9 people was 2,100bt (I think) which to me represents fantastic value for money.
I'm not sure if I would choose to dine here if it was just me and the girlfriend, but I'd certainly like to return to Nathong again sometime when dining out in a group again.

I went to Talay Bangkok recently with the girlfriend and another couple. I couldn't fault the food, service, or prices, as we sat back with our feet in the sand under a palm tree listening to the live music on offer. The only small problem is the location as it happens to be very close to the busy Rama 9 road, therefore the traffic can be little noisy. Our bill for the four of us came to 1600Bt which included 4 jugs of beer. Food portions were very generous and left us all full.
GoodLife:
Went a few times but seems kinda repetitive with the Hip Hop they play, it is packed weekends where you cant even bust a move. Many Young Thai People (25 & Under), but they are very farang friendly. Some cuties but hard to crack.

This is the restaurant from Bangkok Dangerous where Nicholas Cage takes the deaf girl to dinner. You will notice right when you walk in where they were sitting - next to the water.
I have eaten here a few times. The food is not amazing but the it is reasonably priced, they have a good menu and the service is good.
They have live music and the outdoor setting is a nice place to take newcomers or maybe a date.
Since the big outdoor seafood place closed on Ratchada this is where I take people instead.
