I know I know..I said I wouldn't stay here again, but I needed a place for 1 night I it was easy and I didn't need a pool this trip. Same as before, I still like the near-ness to Cowboy. One good thing ...this time the internet connection was very very fast.

This is review for Citadines Sukhumvit Soi 8 Serviced Apartments. Very clean and decent for money place. Hotel staffs are cheerful and eager to help. My friends and I stayed in the 2-bedrooms apartment room. Although the space is pretty tight and small, overall the standards are there and good comfort is what we felt. Free tuktuk service to BTS Nana was pretty frequent during daytimes but when during the evening nights, you have call the reception for tuktuk to fetch you instead of waiting at the Soi 8 entrance. I tipped the tuktuk guy 20baht for every trip i hopped on. Breakfast was not really that bad, as read from many other site reviews. The variety is definitely not a lot. You probably get some fried rice, weiners, eggs (scrambled or sunny side up) and some small little confectionary. There was also juices, milk, coffee and tea. Still decent enough to last you a short distance till you find your favourite restaurants when going outside. A good place I would say. Do give it a try. and also as far as i know, the housekeeping is scheduled free every once weekly, unless you seriously need it badly then you pay for special housekeeping out of the normal schedule.

I stayed here for 4 nights. The staff was friendly and attentive if I needed anything. The room was great, large and a great view of Sukhumvit. Internet was crap, very very slow to the point I could not connect to any sites. Bathtub had a jacuzzi which was fun, but tub too small for 2 people. I like a good pool, but this place didn't have one. The small covered pool had no sunshine at all. Best thing was near-ness to Soi Cowboy. It was OK, but won't stay there again since the choices in the area are vast.

Typical business/tourist hotel. It's very nice, good service, etc etc, but not my scene. The only good thing is the pool. More of a place for tourist groups.

stayed here 2 weeks ago, for the weekend. pros.. Great location, great facilities (laundry, pool etc) and great price (< 50 USD for the studio apartment). Soi 11 has lots of good eats, bars and night clubs nearby, 7-11 down the end of the road and cheapest thai massage i saw around town (250/1hr). It's a short walk (6-7 mins) down to the BTS nana, or just take a tuktuk. Free internet in the room, didn't try the breakfast. Cons... hotel staff is no frills. seen on other reviews that people consider them rude, i would just say that they are not going to kiss your ass like the door staff at the Sheraton for example. If you need something they are helpful, other than that, they dont notice you. There is construction over the road, i didnt notice it, but it might bother some. Bed is _hard_, very hard, if you have an issue with hard matress don't stay here. would totally stay again - the cons, to me, were minor things and dont even merit a -1 star (mostly i read those as cons that others have written on other sites). For bang for the buck, this place is great as a base for having a few beers, heading out and enjoying the food and nightlife.

I visited this place last week to check out the apartments they have for long term rent. The staff were uninterested, the place smelled of mildew and damp, and that was just the reception area. The pool costs extra as does the gym, and so does internet access, if you're going to take a long terms lease. OK so the price was very low, 8,000 Baht a month, but given the added cost of the extras there are much better options around.

Stayed here for 1 night on my way home recently as a change from my usual cheapie accommodation. The room was a little small but very comfortable, can't fault the amenities though. My only complaint would be that breakfast is not included in the price (1750 baht/night). However the restaurant is open 24/7 which is useful when you need breakfast before an early flight. The breakfast was very good by the way. Had a problem with the power going off but that wasn't the hotels fault. Guest friendly, but they have to leave Id at the desk. I would be happy to stay there again except I'm too much of a cheap charlie, I prefer to spend my money on 'other' attractions.

Stayed here for a night a few years back and was really impressed. Was a fly-in visit but the rooms were really nice and the service first rate. Also had to go here today for work, and used the gym, pool and spa facilities and they are first rate. The pool view is awesome, the gym is very well maintained for a hotel gym and the changing rooms are lush. Not cheap by any standards, but you get what you pay for

stayed here for 5 days on my last visit (jan 09). first of all, would return again, given combination of value, amenities and location. the 1 bedroom with separate kitchen and living area (plus washer dryer) was a good value and my room on the 8th floor had a decent view, too boot. the gym upstairs wasn't huge, but the equipment was modern and i was the only in there on the 3 or 4 times i did actually go. top floor, outdoor pool was nice, albeit small, but again, never lacked for space in the afternoon when needed a nap before the evening fun. my only trivial complaint was that the breakfast (included) wasn't great, but better than passable, and that the 'trick' coffees were not included (but not expensive either). in total, this was a newer, bus class "lite" hotel, much better than tourist any real tourist digs i'd previously stayed in. would have stayed the whole trip but had points enough for free nights at the sheraton grande for the rest of my trip. enough said.

This place has a great happy hour running from 6pm - 10pm Monday to Friday. The decor, the food and the drinks are all good value considering it is a very smart hotel. The biggest downside is the location at the end of Ruam Rudi Soi 2. Its a hike to get down there and you'll find most of the other patrons are hotel guests. Depending on the time you go, you're just as likely to have the bar to yourself - so you really need to take a friend (or two)! The martini's are worth a particular mention, and with a two for one price during happy hour, very good value.
